David Goldman is a Principal at Maurice Blackburn Commercial. He primarily practices in commercial law and insolvency.
David advises clients about the establishment of business structures (bodies corporate, partnerships and joint ventures). He prepares commercial contracts including sale of business agreements and assists companies and directors in relation to regulatory matters. David has recently negotiated and prepared a development agreement for the construction of high rise towers and has presented to board members regarding corporate governance.
David’s insolvency practice includes advising creditors, companies and directors about matters relating to administration, liquidation and receivership. He has assisted employees to secure their entitlements and has represented clients in ASIC examinations and public examinations.
David also assists clients in commercial disputes (including class actions) and advises clients about compliance with financial services laws. David has also acted on a range on matters for participants in the stockbroking industry.
Prior to joining Goldman Partners (now Maurice Blackburn Commercial) in November 2003, David was a Senior Associate in the corporate advisory group at another leading law firm.
David was admitted to practice in 1999 and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University. He has undertaken post-graduate studies in insolvency law and practice, and in securities law. David is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Australian Institute of Company Directors
