Daad is a lawyer with Maurice Blackburn Commercial and practices in corporate advisory work.  

She specialises in:

  • Financial Services - application and variation of Australian Financial Services licenses; compliance obligations relating to organizational competence, risk management, dispute resolution, disclosure, compensation and financial resource requirements across providers of financial services including financial advisers, brokers, insurers and responsible entities.
  • Managed Investments Schemes - roles and obligations of responsible entities, review and registration of constitutions and compliance plans- across a range of schemes including mortgages, property, equity and cash management trusts.
  • Anti- Money Laundering - review, advice and implementation of reporting entity obligations.

    Her experience includes 6 years as credit analyst involving financial analysis and structuring of security arrangements for numerous commercial clients, having worked for 3 of the major banks. She has also worked in regulation for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and as in-house counsel for an Australian fund manager.

    Daad applies a commercial view towards advising her clients and takes particular care in understanding their business.

    Daad was admitted to practice in 2007. She has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University and is currently undertaking a Masters of Commercial Law with Melbourne University. She is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Australian Commerical Lawyers Association.
